For everyone who came to newark 22, can i have some feedback about the food setup that we gave a trial run? Firstly if you think it worked/was a good idea and secondly if what was on offer was ok/right stuff/enough?
It would be very simple to alter whats on offer and the amount, any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated! My thoughts on next time are a bbq as before and large chilli/curry that people can help themselves too.
One thing i have noticed is if theres a large presence on the pitch it draws in more people! At this rate we could overtake those dastardly Jagos for cars and members!! lol

I wasn't there Saturday, so I'm probably not the best to comment as I didn't see the BBQ in full swing, but I was happy with my Sunday cheese burger, it was better quality than most burgers at shows like that. Thanks for all the efforts you guys make at these events.

At this rate we could overtake those dastardly Jagos for cars and members!! lol The food on offer was acceptable, and for those MEMBERS not there, we had Sausages, bacon, burger meat, cheese, chops, buns, tomato something in a pan, onions, cold Sausage rolls and variants. The chops for me were too much, but that's just me. If I left anything out, Gromit will add.
Large chilli/curry not for me thanks
Butter would have been good, but none available.
Jagos -- Yes, they had about 6 to 8 on Saturday and 5 ish Sunday. And people who have had eagles for a while, and not joined the club for years, have been joining, and hope it's because of the information I have been putting out ( shouting posts, etc)
So folks, More members, more cars, gets bigger space, more people interested, more to sell your Eagle to / more to buy Eagles off the web when they see the variety of Eagles on the stand, then join etc etc etc
Thanks Terry, Gromit and George.

I found BBQ food was superb. All the meat of was of excellent quality, I especially liked the spicy chicken and marinated meat, it was spicy without being overly hot. The fried onions and cheese were also a nice touch with the burgers.
Personally I would enjoy a curry or chilli if you planned on doing this next year but I feel it would have to include rice which may be a little too much as far as the preparation side of things.
Not everyone likes spicy food so this needs to be catered for, which it was with the Burgers and the sausage.
I don’t think we have any vegetarians in the club but it may be worth while posting a thread asking at a time nearer next years shows just in case.
All in all an excellent job, many thanks to John and anyone else who contributed.

Never fear mark!!! i have the rice issue covered so i will get a consensus nearer the time. The chilli/curry idea was as well as what we had on the bbq and i was really just testing the water to see if: A - There was enough?, B - That what was on offer was enjoyable/right stuff?, C - If people thought it worth doing again/expanding for the next show? From speaking to folks at newark it would seem that we should potentially have more people at the next show, Pedro said that he had got the green light from his good lady wife to spend the whole weekend at the show. Ive been speaking to a chap with a modified rv that should be at next years shows. I just think the more people we have on pitch the more people come to visit/ask/join!
Any suggestions/requests are always welcome for the bbq etc.

I thought the food provided was excellent I enjoyed it all and there was enough for all that wanted it. Bacon ran out at Sunday breakfast but plenty of sausages left. Roll on next years shows, we have learned and will be better. Thanks to grommit for providing the meat and thanks to George and his dad Chris for doing most of the cooking. No thanks for me I've been a lazy git this time lol.
