Maybe of interest to those who have motorbikes. ( Me included ) ( New Zealander Bruce Anstey set a new top speed record when he was clocked at 206mph on the mile-long Sulby Straight )
Bike Winner of the 2022 Senior TT, was a BMW M 1000 RR prepared by FHO Racing. £ 35,000 entry level / tuneable with various M packages. revs to 14,000 thousand revs, but red lines at 12,500
13.5 to 1 compression ( porsche 3.2 S is 11 to 1& red lines at 7500 )
It's just an engine conected to front and back wheels via some tubes, then ,brakes, fuel tank and seat, so of course bikes are ultra fast. ( my road going Honda CBR 1000 was capable of 160 mph )
Video may be loud if played on a phone ( and on computer )

Been around that a few times flat out up to 1969 and got sensible, not that fast, some 70mph slower in fact. in the days of Agostini, Duke, Hailwood, Dunlop, Hislop and Co. but very scary as there are virtually no safety barriers etc. My little Girelli was a pig to ride, shook, wiggled and screamed and all I could do was hang on tight. Seemed to take all day to ride a lap on a little bike, no wonder they scrapped small capacities.
