BACK on - Was cancelled for 2021 now on the 23rd - 24th July 2022. -- Any tickets bought for 2020 or 2021 or trade stand deposits can be transferred to 2022 show.
HISTORY ...It originally ceased to be in 2013, and has not been on since then.
Grosvenor Shows Ltd were approached by manufacturers and owners’ clubs asking them to stage the event after it closed in 2013. They decided to invest in the industry and relaunch it July 2020. -- July 2020 & 2021 was cancelled due to the Covid flue.
I cannot confirm yet if the E.O.C. will have a stand there yet. I am waiting for comments / commitments from members, guests, and the committee.
One person who used to book shows has been - lets just say, has left the CLUB.
It may fall on me to organise. I have no problem with that, but equipment may have to be purchased from my own funds ( which I am happy to do ) with no request to be reimbursed.
Therefore - any takers for the Newark Kit Car show ?.

Ram - thanks for your offer to organise and fund an EOC stand at the event. If the stand happens then I would be happy to chip in to help with the cost. The dates are in my diary. I plan to turn up with my RV and bring a mate in his Jago Geep. Dave Dale.

I ran the first Nova owners club, with many members, and had a stand at a few shows ( consecutive ) all financed by myself, 25+ years ago, and quarterly meetings in Northamptonshire, so I am used to " Going it alone".
I think we need a presence, and if we get only mine and yours there, that's fine.
Lets say I will arrange the show ( will email them shortly ) with approx size ( they wont know how small the attendance has been recently at Stoneleigh ).
Just so you everyone knows, the eagles I have built ( and a Nova ) are at ---UPDATED Sunday 9 / 1 / 2020

Newark 2022 dates yet to be confirmed, so the organisers just told me today on the phone. Therefore the dates just may change ! ! so don't book time off just yet if you work weekends. A space for the club has been booked over the phone with paper application in the post. Stall number will be confirmed in two or more weeks.

I am wet behind the ears with computers - didn't realise that my phone number could be scammed from a club forum. I thought that only someone who logged in could read the posts. I learn something new every day!

I should be there. . . . Probably not with the RV, though. In the past, this has been a great show and I attended for 6 years, until it was stopped. I had the RV there, for a couple of years, but then attended in my old Mustang or Camaro. I'll probably have a ride up there on my motorcycle, weather permitting, but If not, I'll come in the van. Look forward to seeing you there.

Kit cars that wish to attend IN / ON the showground at Stoneleigh and Newark will now be charged £ 5 + £ 15 per passenger.
Regards Graham Wood, E.O.C. Chairman, and current show organiser.
-------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Stoneleigh and Newark KIT CAR SHOWS 2022! Date: Tue, 08 Feb 2022 14:41:55 +0000 From: Grosvenor Shows <info@grosvenorshows.co.uk>
Dear Clubs,
After a long battle trying to secure Stoneleigh for 2022 I have finally managed to get a contract sorted that works for us to be able to keep the UK’s longest running Kit Car Show going again. So I am pleased to attach the booking forms for both Stoneleigh and Newark. We have the old blocks available this year so we will be reverting back to a pre covid layout and I will be allowing clubs the opportunity to rebook the site they had in 2019/2020 for Stoneleigh, and the site in 2020 they had booked for Newark.
I must also add that we are have changed the pricing for the first time in 25 years of running the event, but with increased costs everyone needs to chip in to help us keep the show viable and alive, we will still be giving club sites for FREE but all kit car drivers will be charged £5 entry and passengers £15, discounted tickets for camping for kit car and non-kit cars will be on our websites this week and this money will be spent on site costs and evening entertainment etc.
The following statement only applies to Kit Car Manufacturers that trade on club sites whilst not having a presence in the exhibition hall. As of Stoneleigh 2022 onwards we will NOT be allowing any club to book a club site if the manufacturer of that specific kit doesn’t take a space within the main exhibition hall, I know the majority of clubs that cars are still purchasable are fair to this and do have a presence but I also know a few that just do not want to spend money on exhibition space but are willing to trade for free off a club site. If I or any of my staff catch this at any of our events that club will be asked to leave with immediate effect. I have to do this because for the show to keep going on we need every one in the industry to support the only 2 Kit Car Shows left in the UK! A single stand at Stoneleigh is only £340 plus VAT with Newark at a favourable discount if both are booked, we have to pay for carpeting walling, hiring the ground and all the other costs involved trust me the list is endless! And this year every manufacturer that books on will get a paid promotion with photos and links to there websites paid by us on our National Kit Car Shows Facebook page.
I hope all is well with you all and look forward to getting you booked on, and seeing you all at Stoneleigh and Newark this year. Evening entertainment will be a staged gig going into the night, with Complete Kit Car sponsoring the Bands.
Regards, Peter Slater

"As of Stoneleigh 2022 onwards we will NOT be allowing any club to book a club site if the manufacturer of that specific kit doesn’t take a space within the main exhibition hall",
Bit difficult if the manufacturer (Eagle) no longer exists, as in the majority of cases.

Just spoke to Stoneleigh -- Grosvenor Shows Ltd.
If the Manufacturer of cars no longer exists, then the Eagle Owners Club CAN have a stand.
So - people, get there with your car, even if it's on a trailer -- we want to see it.
We had a LOT of interest at last years Stoneleigh Show, much more than normal, and prices are rising for particularly well turned out SS cars. And if more are shown, it makes it easier to sell in the future.
Must rush.
Graham ( Chairman - E.O.C. )
