Urgent and important information. I have struggled on with the E.O.C. for over 25 years and at 76 on last day this year I am letting it go.
I need someone with the time and skills to take over the web side of things- If no one comes forward I will make this forum 'read only' from 1/1/2022.
The position of Chair person is being handed over to RAM, (Graham Wood) as Terry Robinson also would like to step down.
The position of secretary / treasurer is also open as Helen Scott has not been able to undertake the duties of the position and members are not being retained and new applications processed.
Graham is willing to take on the job of restructuring the CLUB (not forum) and unless Terry, Gary or myself receive objections by end of November 2021 Graham will take over. on 1st December 2021.

WARNING SPOILER ALERT! The following post contains spoilers concerning the latest 007 film "NO TIME TO DIE".
I’m still trying to get over Doctor Who changing sex and James Bond dying in his latest movie “No time to die” and now this very sad news.
Seriously though I will certainly miss the Forum and reading all of the posts.
I appreciate all your hard work regarding the Forum Peter and the contributions of everyone else who is involved. I do also understand if it has all become too much for you which is something you have expressed previously in other threads. I have not been a member long but never the less I sincerely thank you for all your hard work and wish you all the best.

Hi Peter, I dont mind looking after the forum. There hasnt been much activity on here lately although a new forum member joins every now and again.
It would be a shame to loose the ability to post on the forum but I can understand thats probably inevitable as members slowly drop off.
Maybe it really is time to freeze this forum and let people move over to the euro-nova forum.

Hi Peter
I can not put it better than what Mark has already said. This is a valuable site and it continues to be a great help for many a budding Eagle owner and something you should be really proud of. Your piece for potential kit car owners is priceless and any potential owner should have to read.
Great news Chris and hopefully a relief for you Peter.

Hi Peter, I don't mind looking after the forum. There hasn't been much activity on here lately although a new forum member joins every now and again. It would be a shame to loose the ability to post on the forum but I can understand that's probably inevitable as members slowly drop off. Maybe it really is time to freeze this forum and let people move over to the euro-nova forum. I already made that provision on the euro-nova forum some time ago with SS and RV sections in agreement with Dan Giddings (bobbybrown) who also hosts the Eagle Owners site. Can't say take up has been amazing though. Looking after the forum is not a big job but does require some dedication as it means logging on at least 3 to 4 times a week, I do it every morning, deleting spam post, mostly East European, Approving new applicants and posting replies to keep builders and restorers motivated and informed. The forum is hosted on Proboards free with some adverts on the banner so it runs it's self in that respect. The web site as mentioned is hosted by Dan and cost a little over 32 GBP a year, something else we have to keep chasing Helen to pay. The site does take some work and is done on MS Front-page HTTP (spell check is a must), so easy to do but keeping the register, members cars, show dates, etc. up to date does take some time and sadly an area I have neglected lately. So Chris, it is all yours, I will send you a PM with all the secret stuff on this week. Good luck. Peter

I do hope all can continue, this is a pretty dedicated forum and would be a shame to lose it indendantly, if I was more pc 'savvy' I'd offer too. What about paying for the upkeep Peter? I am sadly a bit guilty, of lack of regular input I admit.. but a few other projects and jobs have kept me from my RV these past few weekends...but I will get back to it of course. Whatever happens here..please let me know how to support/contribute in any way. Good Luck & best wishes to all either way... Titch
