Well I posted in wanted regarding a log book, after some digging an Tracing iv got it sorted through the DVLA, gutted as it's a Q plate but it is what it is. I am after some advise, has anyone got an idea of how they have secured there hard top roof down? Looking for ideas, mine bolts threw on inside but I want make it easier to remove an put back, I've bought some adjustable over catches but seems they have mount on the outside which I'm a bit unsure about, also I took peter up on the idea of why nobody is making hard doors for them well I'm currently attempting making mine now from 4mm alloy and looking good so far will post prics when complete, Lee

Like you, I'm trying to figure out a way of making my roof easily removable, and will probably go the same clamp route. I'm thinking I can can attach mine to the roll frame at the windscreen end, and mount some on the inside of the rear tub too, holding it all in place. I'm intrigued to see the doors too! Are you making half doors, or full doors with glass?

I'm making full doors with sliding glass, I've already got half doors but too cold now for them,I've thought same regarding front screen and just inside rear tail window was thinking extra on sides tho just cant figure it out yet, might just put 1 either side near door catch but mount the clamp on the roof that way when the roof is off you'll only have a small lug left on body so not unsightly if you get what I mean,

I've just bought two pairs of these 'latches' via Alixpress. They cost £16.30 per pair. I'm intending to use them to latch my roof in place. It will be a while before I fully fit them, but I've bought them now so I can make mounts for the cleats on my roll frame. I'm pretty confident they'll do the job.

I was wondering how Lee was getting on with his doors? Any progress, or even better a picture or two?

Wow! That really does look like a good job. Are the windows from an original Eagle RV door, or did you source them elsewhere?
