Not sure if I have lost the plot? Is there a place on this website where we can add images of our vehicles? I would just love to see what everyone has got and how they have done things differently to their vehicles. If not I think it would be good to have as many images with details as possible to us maybe as reference to all of us to get a better understanding of what vehicles we have. Just found a brochure Eagle Cars Ltd Arundel W Sussex with Stendetto Eagle SS RV Selection P21 & P25 and 4 X 4 Selection. Also an order form for Eagle Cars Ltd Showroom, Stores & Kit Collection addressed at Goodwood W. Sussex. Could be a good starting point if I put them on the site.

Hi Wiggy,
There is a limit to the amount we can insert into a post. Otherwise I have to pay for "add free" and increased space. Currently it is a free forum on ProBoards.
Using links to a free page of your own is one way to go and put a link to it in your profile signature as I have done with ukhozi.page.tl then you can design and fill your pages to your hearts content. I have suggested it many time before but little uptake. I use www.own-free-website.com/. very easy to use.
On here, for small pictures and I mean small by reducing one in an art/photo app. or upload all to vgy.me and then insert as a http "insert image" link into the post.
There is also a "members cars" page on the web site. www.eagleownersclub.org.uk org, not up to date much as it's all time consuming to scale the photos, edit, insert into the page with MS Frontpage and upload into the site with cPanel. Likewise with the "past events" page. that relies on members sending in photos from past shows.
Anyone who cares to be committed to upkeeping, the page is welcome, it requires a lot of time sourcing photos, identifying owner, current status and the actual web work.

Members cars, I knew I had seen something in the past. Do you think there would be a problem if I used a domain name eaglecarsltdgallery.co.uk? Just thinking if I could ask people to send me images and details through Facebook that they want/happy to be put on the site (maybe no people or pets), it would vetted if it was through Facebook. These are just thoughts. But I would be happy to make a site as a gallery. Let me know if this could work and any concerns

Personally I think it would fragment the subject and would be better kept in one place. Maybe a "free page" with pages for each car and a link on the members cars page to it. I don't see the need to pay for a .com when there are free pages available. in fact it might be an idea if the members cars pages were put onto a "free page" as they take up a LOT of bandwidth and server space which is limited on our server.

For adding photos, it's much easier to use the Facebook page.
John.

On technology I don't do face book twitter or any other social media just working my way round this owners forum is taxing for me. But I will try and upload an image from vgy.me. If it works welcome to my car if not I will leave the address maybe someone cleverer can get it. vgy.me/lpWE5m.jpg

In answer to your questions on the personalisation of the Eagle the tube thing on the engine cover is an air vent. Being a vw base I wanted lots of air movement. The front of it is a perspex plate so it does not block rear view. Rear lights look carefully they are dog bowls with round lights set in. The Eagle badge is a country and western belt buckle with fixing pins bonded to the rear. A walk through the back panel will show the original rear bumper cut down to quarter bumpers then combination led lamps/reflectors set into each. Under the nearside bumper is a rear view camera and under the off side is an oil cooler behind the grill that sports two s badges from a mini Cooper s. Thanks to Soldonkits for them. The bonnet lid is held down with pins (no locks) . The fuel filler has also been moved.

I like the rear end with the split bumper, much better than the 'slab' of the original and the "dog bowl" lights look very good. Opening up the centre vent in the 'bump' will give you the same if not better venting but a bit late now, although very 1970's the slots down either side of the lid are for VW venting, the Ford model didn't have any and that is the version I went for with the 'smooth' look, Roy Budd was very helpful and swapped it free of charge for me when I visited the factory.., never had any heat problems as it is all very open underneath. The badge is cool, it looks more like a Pontiac 'Firebird', I went for the 'Screaming Eagle' one as a bonnet badge as I think the club motif one which I made as a badge is a bit , well, yuk! . The quarter bumpers are very nice with the number plate in the centre I don't know why Eagle Cars made that horrible 'slab' for a rear bumper, I will have to ask Cad Caddington. I too used the S badge from the Cooper S, on the repeaters and on the boot and the console, fits in very nicely Rear view camera is a must on the SS (and Nova) as absolutely no rear vision to speak of. mine is in the centre above the number plate, works well. Changed my fuel filler from under the lid into a VW tank and changed it to an 'Aero' one on the wing into a Triumph 200 tank in the rear wall, I didn't like the idea of filling fuel over a hot engine. But,,,, as we say,, each unto their own and that's why no two are the same.

I'm glad the little tweeks are seen as maybe an improvement or my expression of how it should be. Recessed square number plate gives a hidden number plate lamp. What you may not have noticed is the adjustment to the wheel arches. As well as fitting returns to the panel edges I have adjusted the arch profile to give a squared modern shape to them. Under the sill area is crying out for a neon kit plenty of room has anyone done that? I have other images I don't know how to post but can upload to vge. Me or whatever its called if you want to load them so you can view other tweeks.

I Like the flat sides to the arches I just rounded them off, on the original design there was a chrome section arounf the top part and continued down the sides and around the nose (on some). Er, Just a bit of LED there- That is about 300 LEDs in three strips. Also red LED strips in the cockpit, under seat fronts and back of console and blue and red in engine bay.
