Applications for CLUB membership, as opposed to forum membership which is still free and open to all,
The email FOR PAYING BY PayPal is incorrectly given as scottmadecrafts@msn.com and it should be
scottmadecrafts@gmail.com
Communication is still helenjlee1@aol.com
I will be altering it on the site as soon as I can get on it, password problem.

The email is incorrectly given and it should be scottmadecrafts@aol.com I will be altering it on the site as soon as I can get on it, password problem. Hi. I notice from previous problems with membership address, that you mentioned Helen would delete emails if they did not have "Membership" in the subject title ! or other such things that mentioned the club. May I respectfully, and strongly suggest that if this new email address goes to the same person, you should change who receives membership requests, as it seems that facebook "scottmadecrafts" may well be the same person.
TO Forum Members.
It is important that we should pay a membership fee, as "The Committee" have to pay for a web site, and much writing and phone calls to obtain allocated spaces at a few shows. Together with signs / flags / eats / towing a caravan to shows, etc etc.which at present comes out of the committee pockets. When I ran the Nova Owners club ( the first sucsessful one ) I paid for everything. Then being an Eagle agent, paid for indoor space at shows, as a company.
So when the email address is confirmed, may I urge all forum members to pay a membership fee, to HELP with the costs of running the club. Not so long ago, we nearly lost the web site, due to lack of funds. I know what it's like to run a car clubs / social clubs. Members want a club ( what ever form that takes ) and the only person paying for everything was me.( including adverts in local papers ) It got so that members of one club decided to reduce the membership fee to zero, so i said "sod it " - therefore no more adverts, therefore no new members, and I stopped attending. After 6 months, the club was no more, as no one could be bothered to place adverts or get things organised.
Eagle Fee used to be £ 15 per year. Also, May I put it to the Committee, that if anyone wishes to put their car on a club show stand, that they be a fully paid up member, siting what happens when no membership fees are obtained - as outlined above.
I leave the Committee to discuss all this.

Thanks for that RAM, Just so all forum readers know who is who and what is what I will run through what is currently the situation.
The forum is free, free to run, it is only on my email account but banner adverts (which no one looks at anyway) pay for it, so free is free.
The web site is ironically, hosted by Dan Giddings (bobbybrown of euro-nova fame) and on his server at half the price of Grade1, so it's not a lot and Helen assures me we are in good condition to pay for it for a few years to come although the fiver a year asked for of members of the CLUB tops that fund up, and thanks members for that.
The email address scottmadecrafts@gmail.com (I need to change that from msn) is also Helens in addition to helenjlee1@aol.com and only used for PayPal payments to club funds in addition to the more traditional bank transfer method.
Committee? Well we have a chairman, Terry, (terryrob) a membership/treasurer (Helen) and me (Peter) on the keyboards and Chris (chris2) and Gary (gary), (committee members/moderators). all members can be seen in the "List of members" above as well as the clubs constitution, link to E.O.C. site etc. .
Somewhere the club has a few items to use at shows, mainly a banner and a big tent, great for when it rains.
We are supposed to have a meaningful AGM every year at Stoneleigh but it has kinda slipped of late dur to underwhelming attendance and of course 2020 has been a none year for most things.

You receive an email asking to be a member, and you should reply to that email, and not just IGNOR IT !
The next cock up i envisage will be - that scottmadecrafts@gmail.com is only replied to if someone wants to purchase face masks or embroydery work.via website
S-o-r-r-y but I too wrote to the designated email address over 10 years ago, and never got a reply, and many more people too did not receive a reply. Just look at the shout box for this year - ( at bottom of page -3 there this year ).
No -- totally unacceptable.
I am happy to be your membership/treasurer and answer ALL membership requests. I think 10 years of problems with email addresses is long enough. If committee members are not doing what they are supposed to do, you sack them ---- end of...
I look forward to receiving confirmation of change of membership contact and or membership/treasurer replacement.
Thank you.
Graham - ( RaM )

The email address scottmadecrafts@gmail.com is for PayPal payments only and NOT for general communications, That is and always has been helenjlee1@aol.com. I asked Helen some weeks ago if we could accept payment on-line as well as by bank transfer and she kindly offered her company account for the job.
If a change in membership secretary and or treasurer (or any other position for that matter) is felt to be necessary then that is a matter for the AGM in May and the CLUB membership. not on the forum which is open to the public.

I will be altering it on the site as soon as I can get on it, password problem. Dear Peter, In response to your request to support the Club, I have emailed Helen on 22.01.2021 at scottmadecrafts@gmail.com to try again to join the Eagle Owners Club and pay a subscription fee but have been unsuccessful so far. I headed the email ' Membership of Eagle Owners Club '. My email of 22.01.2021 is herewith copied: >>Hullo Helen, I tried to join the Eagle Owners Club in January 2020 but unfortunately I couldn't finalise it. We corresponded on 16th. and 17th. January 2020 and the last email was from you: >> Hi I will send the membership forms over tomorrow. Regards Helen >> I didn't receive the membership forms and I didn't pursue it further. Could I have another attempt to join please? I wish to pay by Paypal. Please advise the current annual membership fee and the procedure. Thank you. Regards, Dave Dr. David E E Dale eagle@davedale.co.uk>> I have not had a reply from Helen to my request to join the Club. Perhaps I have made an error somehow. Your advice would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Thank you, Peter. My confusion arose because, in view of Helen's email to me of January 2020, I was expecting a membership form. I have now paid my first subscription fee of £5.00 by Paypal and hopefully await a membership number from Helen. Dave D

Sad to say I have never known a club that is so hard to join
I have to agree, when I did EVERYTHING regards administration back in 2006 I did promotions, emailed everyone on the old data base and drummed up membership, I believe 32 paid up members, designed, printed and issued membership cards, kept a data base of members and their cars etc. Designed and had made alloy VIN plates. key rings, round badges, the club banner that still flies at events. Chris made the pole and stand. So a lot to do and in these trying times it would almost be a full time job resurrecting the club to it's previous glory and get cars to what ever shows are left.
As well as that trying to keep owners interested and motivated to complete projects which at the moment have a dismal fail rate.
As one can imagen this took a lot of my time but fortunately I was a director of the company and could allocate a fair amount of time to it. no one else has offered to give the commitment to do it all since, so I do the web stuff and Helen does the finance and membership, even though she doesn't own an Eagle. The problem is, and always has been, to get the long term commitment to do a position. several people have offered but not taken it up and a couple have started but faded away.

Hullo Peter,
I can sympathise with you with regard to the club membership travails, so have no wish to cause you any more problems. I don't suppose you can ( or want to! ) get involved but I merely wish to put this on record:
On 31st. January I applied for membership with all the correct details as required to Helen at helenjlee1@aol.com, with the email header of ' Eagle Owners Club membership application ' and with a request for an acknowledgement and a membership number. I then paid the membership fee of £5.00 by Paypal at scottmadecrafts@gmail.com, and have a receipt from Paypal. I have been patiently waiting for a response but none has been forthcoming. I am prepared to wait longer but I wonder if you have any comment or suggestions. Thank you. Dave Dale.

I again offer to administer the membership side of things, ( Treasurer should stay with the committee members ) but for some reason I have been rejected ( I say Rejected only because no reply was given to me if i would be acceptable or not.)
I currenty have a web site for a block of flats, administering service charges and legal requirements in connection with same ( Can't show you as it's for shareholders / leaseholders only and not for public viewing. A Website under constuction ( but semi active ) for houses for rent in U.S.A. that I own, and a refurbish option of houses I can supply on behalf of U.K. interested clients. My previous and current " Different to the norm cars" at sites.google.com/site/hisautos/
I can receive Cheques, Money, Bank transfers, and will not ignor emails requesting membership. Have credit card size laminating machine for membership cards, etc. I have not yet applied to be a member, as from above posts, it seems to be a waste of time.
I can suply an email iaddress, telephone numbers, home address etc.
if the committee dont like this post, but it has to be said. And commitee members can decide who does or does not handle membersip applications via a simple mail in vote ( I do it all the time - with my leasehold management companies - registered address at my home address )
My offer and comitment is self evident, via information given on Google web page ( Eagle page 2 ) and above.
I look to the committee members to finalise this membership problem very shortly.
Regards Graham ( RaM )
