Car is going to scrapyard on Monday,I have tried to prevent this as I have put a lot of money and effort getting it to where it is. Would loved to have seen it back on the road.

Sad sign of the times I'm afraid. I know a lot of things, hobbies, past-times, interests etc have fallen by the way in the last six months. A friend has a large stables with over 30 horses and she is getting GIVEN horses as no one can afford them now, same with cars, that second car or hobby is now a mill stone as people down size etc. I am looking to sell my SS but because it will never get on the road due to legal problems and costs, (and I am coming fast on 75 too)but no one wants it. even if I get it all finished and running.

Sad state of affairs when no takers, even for spare parts, car is being disposed of tommorow, I even tried to get someone else to finish it for me but the money required to bring the car up to modern standard was prohibited me from completing, good luck to everyone on the same journey, hopefully some of you will get it over the line. Regards Colin

It's currently with the company that was going to finish it for me, they have been given permission to scrap the car, don't know if it's away yet.

Is this the one I sent to Scotland on a trailer a couple of years ago from Dorset?

I will be watching to see how it turns out, if it is rebuildable then maybe I can make it happen now I am getting fit again. If you want me to contact the company, I will be quite happy too. If there are any pictures it would help me form a plan.

Seems there is a buyer for the car but colivent has removed himself from the forum so no contact or any idea what 'company' it was with. .

Just in case colivent visits the forum as a guest. I'm still after side windows glass. This plea for glass is not just for the sole attention of a previous member but anyone that has a couple of side windows. I have one side windows but from the wrong model. My car is a 2/3 with the pivot holes at the outer limits of the glass. I don't want to modify my door to fit the old type. If I had to do a modification due to no correct glass available I think I would try a set up like a mk 1 mini having overlapping leaves running in grooves. Any one tried that?

The 2+2 has the sliding window arrangement in an aluminium framework as they are a lift out window. Mine has now gone so I can't send you any pictures.
