The main E.O.C. site has been down for a week or so and thanks to those of you in the UK that let me know, I have had a chat with Grade1 solutions ( www.grade1.co.uk/) and they have put the site back up pending sorting out the annual renewal fee. To those who visit the Stirling forum, the whole site is down with no access, just spins it's wheels, David, (Islandman on Nova) is contacting a Stirling member (brett) to see what is going on.

It seems Helen has not sorted out the Grade1 site fee and I am having problems accessing the server. If it continues we may loose it all, for 62 quid.
I feel someone with a current interest in eagle cars should take over as secretary/treasurer as there have been several memberships not processed, club shop has died and site fees not paid. Maybe something for the AGM at Stones?

Update; Stirling site and forum is definitely dead, just the home page. shame, so much stuff lost. lets hope the E.O.C. site doesn't follow and there is a real danger it might just do that and soon.

In reply to recent queries, the FORUM is hosted on Proboards (for free with adds) and separate from the EOC web site that is hosted on Grade1.com
The "Site" is in danger of failing due to lack of renewal at 62 quid, which is administered by the secretary/treasurer, Helen
I have a copy of the "site" on file, (including all photos etc), in case it does fail in which case I am currently looking for a 'free' hosting site to plant it on but many of them insist using their templates and as yet I haven't found a suitable one for a "Car Club" or forum. If anyone knows of a suitable one that I can use our HTTP / Front Page layout on, I will be happy to look at it.

OK, for the handful that are interested; I am negotiating a change of host as the one we have is proving expensive for what we get and DataChips are only 3 quid a month for their medium package, 36 a year not 62.. I will be updating the landing page and changing the look a bit.
The FORUM will continue as is, it on Proboards and separate from the main site.
Apart from a more modern look users will not notice too much change.

I am always interested in keeping things alive peter . How many years you known me ? So i would keep the site fees going if required let me know . Many thanks Jason, I am very grateful for the back up. Helen assures me thee are funds to cover the 62 quid due to Grade1, I think we need to, as a club, to change treasurer/secretary/shop from Helen who no longer has an active interest in Eagle as such, being a Jago owner now. so at the AGM that needs sorting. but Dan (bobbybrown) on the Euro-nova site runs a hosting a called 'datachimp¡' and can do better for half the price so we are trying to sort out transferring servername from Grade1 to datachimp but as the Grade1 account is suspended can't access the servernames so need to go through Steve at Grade1 which takes time. I tried using Wix, FreePage, Weebly, etc to build a new look but nothing really seems to fit so I am doing it all on 'Front Page' as usual but it takes time of course.

I have managed to transfer all the files to the new host (Datachimp with Dan Giddigs of Euro-Nova) and now working on new front page 'index' file. Not long now but stuff like work, life, keeps getting in the way so far, so good? OR I will gradually change the look of the other pages on the site, a lighter look not so RED

I am an RV owner only since November 2019, not very good with computers and with my RV currently off-road. The new website looks good to me - many thanks for your efforts. You asked for comments: 1. The window / link on the homepage for club membership application asks applicants to email Helen but, bearing in mind your posting of March 26th 2019 ( Helen who no longer has an active interest in Eagle as such, being a Jago owner now ), is this still relevant? I tried to join the Club in November but my email to Helen didn't elicit a reply. 2. I have checked the car registry link but can't see my RV listed. Please advise how I may list my car. 3. Two links lead to an error: - the Communication link - notice ' 404 home page ' appears. - Members' cars - Javier's Spanish MkI SS - no photographs ( on my computer anyway ) Thank you. Dave.

Thanks Dave, will look into it. I did ask for Helen to be replaced at the AGM in May but I don't think there was even an AGM to do it at, so little interest in the committees work. I am amazed the banner etc. turn up every year on the stand and due credit to those who do keep it going and I hope at Newark this year too.
Going to update Javier's car page as it is a very interesting SS and one of only two in Spain, mine being the other.
Regards the RV listing; Please post on here the details as per listing and I will add it ASAP.
