I known we haven't even had Christmas yet but it is amazing how fast the first quarter of 2019 will pass and Stones will be upon us once again.
I know there are many projects that COULD be there and with short term insurance and tax now possible maybe a few of you should get that deadline in mind.
Big, HUGE respect and thanks to the people who turn up every year, without whom with there would be an embarrassing empty space facing the Nova stand.
So don't leave it up to the last week to get ready, start now and PLAN a timetable that you can live with and stick to it.
Lets try and make 2019 the best for a decade or more.
Peter

January has all but gone by in a flash and the new year a distant memory. May will be upon us before we know it so anyone intending to go to Stones' this year had better start NOW or it will be mid April and panic time, again. let's try and have a decent turnout this year not just the faithful few, to who we must be thankful.

Well done Jasonv8ss, there will be a few of us there for the weekend, you can put a tent on the Eagle pitch. If you can make it for Saturday we go into town in the night for some beers and a curry.

Yo Terryrob well that sounds like a plan . No tent though . I discovered a reclined heated seat in the 4x4 is far comfier warmer and easier to pack away in the rain lol .

Haha, sounds comfy Jason. Last year was the best weather we have ever had at Stoneleigh but we have had some pretty cold nights over the years even ice on the cars lol. There will be a gazebo and awning or two plus cookers and barbies. Normally have a barbie on Sunday evening so bring a bit of grub to cook and plenty of BEER etc.

Finally had the comformation of the booking back from the show people
We are on 55C. and not the usual pitch which was 55H
The show guide does not show the divisions of plot 55 but i am lead to believe that its just a little nearer the show halls.
A lot of the clubs have been moved around this year (there's a lot of noise about it on all the forums let's just hope that this is not the last one
jago have been moved also to make way for four other clubs

Hmm....the show guide says 54f 55c would be the plot opposite, next to Club Nova (55d according to the guide) Unless they have been moved as well.

Looking at the show guide we are usually on 54 so 55 is on the same side as Nova and Jago last year, there is just a narrow pitch in between where we have been before 6 or 7 years ago.Not so bad realy,,,,,,,we will see.

Scorpio (Don Staddon ) used to store it Peter. When he passed away suddenly I didn't like to ask about it too soon and have since lost contact with his wife. It could well be the same pitch too !!!

My mistake plot 55c is part of the old jago stand (55)
We were told that it had been split up into several plots ! Jago are now on plot 60 which is over the other side of the road (Rickmans side) The show guide plan is USELESS.
We spoke to the organisers Friday and they told us to ignore it completely.
The reason for all the changes are that HS2 has taken more of the site that the organisers were told when plan was drawn up. A site visit last week highlighted all the extra problems but they was no time to amend guides as they had already been published.

I saw a Lancia Delta SS back in 1996 at a show, might be the same one with the clamshell back? . What was it doing all alone? I think the stand we had back in the day were the tent blew off as next one along. Nice line up of the usual RVs, come on SS guys, get a grip.

( GT 40 style ) Look for the vertical line between top back air vent and rear of door opening. My SS was nearly ready, but more health issues stopped repairs, even after getting mobile mechanic to do some "Strenuous" jobs, which could have split my internals, yes, it's that bad, but next year it will be there.

Lancia Delta SS. What was it doing all alone? Have updated sites.google.com/site/hisautos/home/eagle to show the abysmal space allocated for the E.O.C. That's why it was on it's own. And a new access road is being built as per the steel mesh fencing, so there could be less space next year, but the plot opposite has been allocated, but always empty for the last 3 years, so we can pinch some of the site next year. One has to do what one has to do.

Hi all Wow Peter I’m impressed you remembering my Eagle in 1996 the last show I went to if I remember rightly. It was taken off the road the following year due to starting a family and lack off time and funds However I managed to get it back on the road for Stoneleigh on Saturday. This was its 1st time out for 22 years apart from local Mot test and quick brake test. This is grab from a analogue video 1996 of back end. It was great to meet all you guys at the show and thank you all for welcoming me. I look forward to seeing you there next year and hopefully seeing some more Eagle SS's Cheers all
