I have found this from a brochure that was produced in 1988 and it shows the the Eagle ss being made. It is a mystery as to what has happened to the SS and RV production moulds now. At the time the company was directed by R Budd and a Series 3 'SS' would cost £2225 plus VAT for a kit that included the chassis, all the glass and quite a lot of other parts. Has anybody heard anything about what has happened to the moulds? If the SS was to be produced again it could go back to its Beetle roots to avoid the IVA teat. There are still some other VW beetle kits out there even if it is a very old donor vehicle now.

The SS moulds were sold by Tim Naylor a few years back to an EBay buyer from Wexford, they have since disappeared.

The RV moulds were reputed to have been lost to to receivers about the same time.

Tim did a market test and feasibility study and in today's market it could not be economically produced. Even the Moon GT, a update of the Pervis Eurika is only sold as a track car in Malaysia, shame, the use of the VW beetle as a donor is a no no as beetles fetch a lot more than a SS would and they are fetching a lot now. A new chassis with mid- engine would be needed such as MR2 and even those are getting rare so a custom chassis and IVA would be needed. Less than 5% of the 680+ SSs survive.
