i wouldnt let the cortina owners club know that, they might be round looking for parts

dont see it being ready for any shows this year. although i like the idea. even once i've got the body back on, which hopefully will be the early part of next year. I still need to sort the wiring out. conjure up an exhaust. also a full interior. and probably a paint job. and most importantly, come up with the time and money to do it mostly time since I've got most of the parts already....

a wee update ... had a "yipee" moment today. ever since I first remove the body from the chassis, theres been 4 sheared off bolts staring at me, all four down the drivers side, two body bolts, and two body/roll bar bolts ... they all sheared I believe because there had been water getting in that side and they were all rusted to b*ggery .. i had been putting off trying to extract them because I knew it wouldnt be easy ... i started with the drilling out method. but after ending up with two of the bolts with the snapped off remains of drill bits in them i gave up with that. so I tried my trusty heat gun. I'm sure I tried this before but maybe only with a blow torch ... anyway after getting the first one red hot I tried mole grips on in and it came out !! ... not expecting my luck to hold I tried the same with the other three and couldnt believe it when I got them all out ! .. I believe the word I'm looking for is " chuffed "
