about slight glitch in the web site being down. All fixed and hopefully it will not happen again as all renewals will go to Graham. Any suggestions on layout and content welcome. I am rapidly approaching 77 and even I cannot live for ever, if any younger person would like to take the rains as webmaster for another 20 years, stick ya mitt up.

Good news and thanks Graham for clearing that up.
I don't think someone had thought that through.

As many of you will know I have been administrator of the forum and web site since I set it up back in December 2003 and I am getting on a bit, well, got on a lot and I am now 75 and not in the best of health so I would love for someone with the time and commitment to take over so I can just log in when I can and enjoy the forum.
It will require logging in as admin or as yourself at least 4 times a week. administrating pending membership requests. Removing SPAM and junk mail and blocking those IP. updating the web site including a knowledge of MS FrontPage HTML and FTP.
I will continue to administer untill a new mug is found or I die.

To everyone pissed off with Photobucket there is a way and it's FREE. Just open an account. It works much the same but simpler. You only need to click and hold on the photo on your PC and drag it onto the download page to download. Then you can open from your 'user name' and select view uploads or albums (if you have created any). Click on the blue square 'Share Codes' on the photo you want to copy and it will take you to 'Sharing codes' for that picture, Go to the top "Direct URL" and click on the icon on the right, it will auto copy the URL. In your post all you need to do is at the appropriate place select the 'insert image' icon, (7th from the right on the tool bar). The "insert image" box will appear, Right click over the blue 'HTTP://' and 'paste', the URL will appear. Job done. You can select ALL your photos in your Photobucket albums and download to your PC, (in a 'new folder) and then upload to a new album in VGY. Then delete the 'new folder' on your PC to save space and two fingers to Photobucket Peter Read more: eaglecarclub.proboards.com/thread/693/posting-photos-using-photobucket#ixzz5JnlAkZ1c

Hope all is going OK with finding a good home for the SS and not a parts donor as so often happens these days. You can upload pictures using the attachment feature but as you say thanks to Photobucket being absolute ars***ls and retrospectively pulling 3 party posting we can't use them anymore. Peter

Since January there has been 7 new 'members' registered with little or no input, anyone not posting after a few months of registration will be deleted. If there is a genuine interest in Eagle cars just say so, "I am interested in xxxx", information will be forthcoming, otherwise,, phut!

Forwarding an Email
Hi there, I am interested in an Eagle RV. Would it be possible for someone to contact me regarding the above with information in view of purchasing?? My telephone number is - 01271 377898.
Many thanks Kind regards
Mike Garman
Further to the above;
Seems Mike is looking for a runner with MoT and not a lot of work, so anyone got a very tidy RV with a MoT or one that would pass an MoT.

By the way, all registered members can still use and post on the forum, it's only registration that has stopped.

I have been asked by Dan on the Nova forum to post this, I don't know who is responsible and I am sure it isn't a random occurrence, but it has to stop. If anyone wants to continue with this forum, they may IF they are willing to be committed long term to daily improving, monitoring and administration.
"With regret, Due to the amount of spam signups that are flooding in to Euro-Nova (upwards of 300 per day) it is getting difficult to filter out those who are real from the spam. As a result, registration will remain open until Friday Evening, 18th September. After which time you will have to email the membership address with your desired username and email address to be registered by the admin team. The email address will be displayed on your screen when you attempt to register on Euro-Nova."

I always find that as long as one has the skills to do it properly a own rebuild is better than a shop one and the satisfaction is HUGE, well done.

Nearly there, still lot to do. It is planed that the forum will remain fully active until end of September when it will go 'read only' and all current members will have been transferred by Dan and notified by Email. current members will not have to anything, it will all be done for you.
You will see bobbybrown as "nova coordinator, this gives Dan certain (by no means ALL) powers to transfer data and post emails etc)

As you can see from the Board headers I have added a new board for CLUB member discounts.
Please note; CLUB membership and FORUM membership are NOT one and the same.
To qualify you must have a valid club membership card number.
If you are NOT a CLUB member please see membership link on the header.
As soon as I can verify discounts with the companies involve I will add more.

It seems we are not the only forum to have seen a dramatic drop off in interest, a recent email from the Vauxhall Opel Drivers Club has the same problem and like me was wondering if there was a fix or if he/she had upset everyone.
It's just a sign of the times as too many people loose interest and IMHO spend far too much time chasing the money and having their face stuck in a screen of some sort or another all the time rather than enjoying life.

Just seen these on Ebay by Maxton Design in ABS only 79.00 for the four part kit and fits all cars under 95" wheel base, SS and Nova is 94.5 so jut in. The rear 'flair' seems to match the rear of the SS perfectly. Seriously thinking of it. I know I still need to finish the interior and door cards etc and complete the wiring upgrade but definitely on my shopping list. Also looking at a rear spoiler and a rear defuser to hide the exhaust header. Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

If it was mounted onto ANY chassis and running rear that had a V5c and therefore a registration number, all that would be required is a MoT and change of model name on the V5c to Eagle SS. If it has a custom chassis, be it home made or original Eagle without a V5c then it will need a SVA.

That looks like an interesting project for someone who has the time, skill and cash to do it. Screen intact, that's worth 400 for a start. I actually like the rear and front treatment and I want to do something like it to the rear of mine, but wider in the centre, to hide the exhaust header but I'm happy with the standard front and sides, for now. Not quite sure what is going on with the headlights though, I hope the intention wasn't to mount something in the nose as that wouldn't work height wise, legally or effectively. Now, if those louvers were to drop down at the rear to expose a pair of Capri headlights as in Nova, it would work. Should have used a flexible filler like 'Plastic Padding' or 'P38' though to avoid the cracking. Defiantly a starting from -10 points from new, and I wouldn't even bother with the body at all until the chassis is up and running. Rear wheels are nice but could one get the matching fronts, say 8x 15 with 225/60-R15? 255/60-R15 would fit the 10x15 wheels and fill the arch better like mine. Interior is a start from scratch job, which in many ways is easier than undoing someones idea of a 'dream' interior. I don't have safety markings on my screen either, something I am going to have to remedy for the Spanish ITV by acid etching a copy of the Pilkington one we have on the tech page and a KITE mark. Hope it goes to a seriously able and sensible person and doesn't end up scrapped. We have already lost 2 SSs and 2 RVs this year that I know off already Another one for the register, yeah!
