Well I have some exciting news about Donnington!! Simon is going to teach us all to jive ;D. What fun that will be. I know he doesn't look as though he can even walk properly, never mind dance, but he is actually a dance expert. It all stems from when he was about 23 & was going through an "older woman fetish stage". In order to meet a wide variety of women in their 60s & above he joined a dance club!!! Sadly he still didn't pull, but he is looking forward to showing off his jiving at Donnington. It will be great entertainment

Simon doesn't want to teach us to jive. He is a bit nervous about the whole thing. When he gets nervous he is sick. He doesn't like to be sick at all. Doesn't like the mess! Well who does?

I believe that Simon is a lover of fish, so I think he would enjoy them. In fact I bet he would even beat you in a "jellied eel eating competition" This weekend is just sounding more & more fun....

I hope you all had a great time whilst I was stuck here it looks like the weather was good for you. You will all be pleased to learn that after work I spent the afternoon rubbing down the RV, filling, sanding, priming, sanding, filling, priming, sanding etc etc etc. It is now all in one colour (grey) and looking much more presentable. You never know, I might even get some colour on it in the next week or so (it's always the or so that makes things take so long). It will definitely be at Stoneleigh next year (definitely ;D)

David - it was fantastic!! A really good time. Many thanks to Chris for his tent putting up expertise! Great to meet Roy & Heather. Thanks to them for the music & the food!! I wouldn't say we exactly had a jellied eel eating competition, but I was brave enough to try a tiddler. If I remember correctly Jeff Howden also tried them, as did Roger Barr. How brave were we?? Thanks to Alex & Kirk just for being there & making the site look gorgeous. Shame neither of you bought cars, but you both had the girls stopping in their tracks . A massive thanks to Jeff for giving me the best ride I have ever had. Wow, was that ever a cool way to behave in an RV! I could've gone up & down all night in there. Thought we were gonna get thrown out of the show ground ;D Also thanks to the guys who took the tent down whilst I was drinking with Chaz in the bar ;D Tim Naylor had a stand inside promoting the eagle ss & it's future plans. It was attracting a lot of interest & good comments, which is great. Believe it was redeagle's car on Tim's stand. I haven't seen that ss before - only in pics. Nice car. Lot of positive comments. Fantastic that Tim is working so hard. Good to see Chaz, Chrisrv (& his son) & hairy Steve at the show.........oh yeah - & Jason finally arrive about 3pm on Sunday . He did take us for a ride in a Dakar tho! (unfortunately not his as I believe that is still in bits in a cow shed somewhere). Who else do I have to thank ...............oh yeah ;D. Thank you to Simon for sharing his small sausage with me on Saturday night ;D ;D ;D. It was a good time. Great to see a few people with cars on the eagle stand. Keep us up to date with that P21 tho Roy. I hope you get the wiring sorted out. Be nice to get it going well. Was a good weekend ;D

Sounds like you all had a great time, I am really I couldn't be there but I was working on ideas and designs of the new SS and chatting to Tim on the phone so I was there in spirit if not body. I will there at Stoneliegh next year and I am busting a gasket to get the SS "finished" to drive it there. According to "Google Earth", it is 2509km or 1559 miles (or 52 gallons of petrol) so it had better be in perfect condition. (engine out again in a couple of weeks to change to 'H' beam con rods, "just to be sure"). Well done everybody Peter p.s. Those Lada Rivas' are great off road, I have had a MKI and a MKII, both fell apart but geat fun all the same.
