Early ones were VW beetle based Second gen..were Corrina based Third gen..were sierra based There are a few range rover and diahatsu based ones about but rarely seen or heard of now. Some (very few) come with (normal number plates) but most on a Q plate. 1600cc upwards is best for normal use. Mine has a 2000cc pinto with a five speed box.

hi, thanks for the reply, is there any connection with the manufacturer UMM ? the reason I ask is I have found an eagle rv for sale with v5 but it dosent sound right, the seller says that the moulds for the rv were bought by UMM who then produced bodies for fitment to their 4x4 chassis, v5 that he has with rv body states manufacturer as Umm, I think more likely that some one had a umm ( cornil ) that had a rusted out body and replaced it with an eagle body, nothing wrong with that just a re-body but as this this shell comes with out a chassis it renders the identity void ?
so has anyone got a correctly registered Eagle for sale, don't mind a basket case, total strip down and shot blast is expected
thanks Andy

As far as I know UMM didn't make the EAGLE RV as such but as the RV is based on the Jeep CJ6 anything like it looks like one. ALL Eagle production ceased in 1999 with the closure of Eagle cars Ltd. Since then there have been a few attempts to make both the RV and the SS again with Pilgrim and a couple of others producing variations of the RV and Poly-Creations have the SS available again. Jeep CJ6 Eagle RV (Ford) hi thanks Peter I agree with you I don't think umm ever had anything to do with eagle rv, the guy selling it has never come back with the reg number so I can look it up anyway, I think it was incorrectly registered so will give it a miss

Hi all, I bought a P25 today. My question is which frame member has vin stamping- I'm eager to ensure it matches battery box vin plate, any guidance/suggestions much appreciated as I'm only investing time and money if it is eventually going to be of some use, Regards

I think you need to post a picture. Is the registration number Q912OBP ?

It is possible that the number was not stamped, My RV of 1985 never had a number stamped but came with an alluminium plate to rivet on.
