help....
firstly hi. I'm Annabelle, based in Dorset and had my eagle a couple of months now. Got it almost ready to go and finished off what it needed doing for mot within three weeks. Would have been days but I dislocated my shoulder and the other half has a business to run so couldn't help as much as I needed.
many years ago I was involved with a couple of chaps with Novas, I have been casually looking for one for about ten years. I've got a few health issues and in the near future am expecting to have my right leg amputated below the knee, I'm only 36, so doing what I can in life while I still can....Then the eagle came up on the nova forum, I thought what the heck, it's close and I actually love it more than I thought I would, so no plans fo swap it in the immediate future, (Sod's law a few Novas have been on eBay since, at the right price, but not nearly as ready to go, so it was obviously meant to be). I must admit Ben did all the hard work, his wiring is a bit interesting but structurally the chassis and running gear flew through the mot with only one siezed wheel cylinder to change when I got home. (Tame mot guy, it's great being in the trade)...
I've not got any photos to hand, but my current door catches are driving me insane. I'm using the car at least once a week, even just to go feed my horse. The current door catches sit on the bottom of the sills and are basically the spring type boot catches off a landrover, the doors are currently not lined up properly, so closing them is a right sod as I have to have the angle right to get them in. What does everyone else use please? We think we're going to have to take the windscreen out and realign the frame somehow as I think after many years of it being used to get in and out it has sunk, the doors therefore seem too far back, correct me if I'm wrong.
Mirrors. It came with some beautiful stainless mirrors which were unfortunately too pretty and flimsy for when I'd got the doors shut to actually see anything. So I've currently got mk2 golf mirrors, the drivers side is fine, but the passenger side I can barely see a thing unless we set it back halfway along the window which obviously looks crap, and at the moment for a quick fix so I can take it to work tomorrow it has a block of wood supporting it so its at the right angle, but on Friday its air cooled and vow night on Poole quay so I'd like to have done something better by then...
what have others used please as I hate not being able to see behind me. I've got a suction one in the windscreen for now which has been brilliant. But need wing mirrors.
all advice welcomed, when I get time I'll put some detailed photos up of things I need help with. But can't do anything now as the file of the photo I do have is too big and I don't know how to shrink it?
looking forward to some knowledge.
