As I have posted before the option of either; (A)transfer members to the more active euro-nova forum, (B)close the forum completely and rely on 'Facebook' only or (C)get someone else who can spare the time EVERY DAY to dedicate to the forum to take over, it looks like the (A) wins, merging with euro-nova has the majority vote (of the few who can be arsed).
So, Dan and I have looked at ways to transfer membership over for you all but it is not possible from an admin angle. So if you could ALL make your way over to the euro-nova forum (link at the top of the forum page) and register there where euro-nova administrator 'bobbybrown' (Dan) is setting up an Eagle owners section with SS, RV and 'others' sections. It is planed to go active ASAP with the EOC forum going 'read only' 1st October.
The EOC forum will continue to exist as a read only format with registering, posting and logging on disabled as an archived recourse so we don't loose anything.
The EOC web site will continue as an active site with updates on a as and when needed basis to keep it current and the forum hyperlink will be changed to euro-nova.
Members will be able to take part fully in the euro-nova forum but will have their own sections for car spacifice related posts as well, much the same as the Avanti and club nova do now.
This post is also being sent to ALL current members and e-mails to everyone as well.

This is to be entered in the field marked "reference" when registering. I have just added that field especially for members who are signing up from the EOC forum.

I have been asked by Dan on the Nova forum to post this, I don't know who is responsible and I am sure it isn't a random occurrence, but it has to stop. If anyone wants to continue with this forum, they may IF they are willing to be committed long term to daily improving, monitoring and administration.
"With regret, Due to the amount of spam signups that are flooding in to Euro-Nova (upwards of 300 per day) it is getting difficult to filter out those who are real from the spam. As a result, registration will remain open until Friday Evening, 18th September. After which time you will have to email the membership address with your desired username and email address to be registered by the admin team. The email address will be displayed on your screen when you attempt to register on Euro-Nova."

Euro-Nova attracts a huge amount of hits Peter, every time I activate registration the spam goes crazy. Just seems to be a little more excessive on this occasion.
I have banned the IP addresses of the most frequent!

From Dan, bobbybrown.
I wanted to post in the eagle merger thread to say basically:
"As everyone knows, my aim when I started Euro-Nova was to build the biggest and most comprehensive owners forum for the Nova/Sterling and all variants. This is the reason I am so open to merging with other forums that are suffering from reduced activity/members. I am happy to consider a merger between any forum for this variety of kit-car in order to keep it alive and give a centralised location for all to post their updates/receive help and advice. If any forums do end up suffering from a decline in postings or volunteers to maintain I would be happy to discuss. It is a little worrying to read Rick's post on the sterling forum regarding the webmaster not being a part of the forum for years. Euro-Nova is hosted on a high speed reliable server with various guarantees, we also have a little excess storage in order to host separate files when needed." Dan

By the way, all registered members can still use and post on the forum, it's only registration that has stopped.

Seems Rick, letterman7, on the Sterling forum is thinking of joining us on Euro-Nova too and for the same reason, lack of interest.

So far only less than a handful have re-registered on euro-nova which is disappointing but looking at the stats' it seems very few members have logged on in the past three weeks anyway and we are still getting the majority logging on but just browsing, that's not the idea of a forum. Please take a couple of minuets to sign in on the Euro-Nova, forum linked at the top of the forum. As the same fate seems to be falling to Stirling / Cimbria we may well have a three way combo soon, so there will be Nova, Stirling, Cimbria, Eagle and Avanti all under one roof so to speak.
If there had been SOME reaction I could have slogged on with it but going on the respond, or rather lack of it, I was right in what I did.

Well, this is proving to be a wash out, not only does no one, apart from Neil at the moment and myself, seem to be posting but not many have registered on the Euro-Nova forum either, I am at a loss as what to do. I am trying to save the forum one way or another and no one seems interested!
Input would be good.

It would be a shame to loose this forum. I will continue to add pictures and information about my Eagle restoration on 'My build diary'.

It seems there is no interest in either this forum or going onto the Euro-Nova one so I'll just keep this one open in case someone has a brain storm.
