I can get a Ford Probe 1991 pretty cheap, the engine has standard 147 horsepower, so more than enough for the Eagle, does anyone have experience with this ohc engine, especially in with the electronics? In other words, is the engine easily to convert in a stand-alone version, and fit in a eagle?

Ford probe is, I think, a Mazda engine, and front wheel drive, and if so, forget it. Not worth the expense to modify.
If I was offered an Eagle with a Mazda engine, ( has the mazda fuel injection ), I would walk away and not buy it.

Stick to the 2L, Pinto or V6. If you stay with conventional in-line set up it is a lot less work and end result worth more.

the ford probe is a 2.2l ohc engine with injection and turbo at least according to the list, so i better ask ome pictures off the engine. Probe OHC 2,2i 108kW / 147PS "GT", Turbo 08/88-12/92 So I'm a bit confused, when I look at the prices asked us for a 2 liter Pinto, I think I'm going to ride again to the UK, if the probe is not suitable. Prices are here for a engine about 5 times as high, and it's one that I still have to recondition. For that price I buy in the UK a full reconditioned 2 l at motorsports burt, i don't know the guy, but he looks like a honnest motorbuilder.
