Hi all Came across this add on ebay with an interesting write up. Reading through the forum it is clear that this project will not get registered as road worthy due to the custom built chassis. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161243405171?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649If the body is mounted onto a VW beetle floor pan with a valid V5C and no modifications made to chassis then it can be registered as a Beetle re-shell avoiding the need for a SVA if my understanding is correct? Regards

If it was mounted onto ANY chassis and running rear that had a V5c and therefore a registration number, all that would be required is a MoT and change of model name on the V5c to Eagle SS. If it has a custom chassis, be it home made or original Eagle without a V5c then it will need a SVA.

It's a shell designed for the V-Dub kipper chassis........so a bit of a rarity as most SS's on here seem to be Ford based these days, except Peter of course ;-)
Another project worth saving with the all important windscreen and a relatively easy build....problem is the V-dubbers have pushed the price up of spares and a half decent kipper pan will cost you £500 before any renovation costs.
