Hi All Link below for what seems like a possible interesting project. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310848962558?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649I am in two minds at the moment about chasing this project as know very little about ford based kits Can i ask what ford it would require as the doner being it has a ford based space frame and more importantly how much hassle would it be to get it through an SVA? Excuse my ignorance being new to ford based kits as i have only built VW NOVA's in the pass and think it would look good parked next to my NOVA Regards

HI there, The Ford based eagle kits have an Eagle designed chassis that follows the VW beetle floor pan as can be seen on our web sites technical page, (link above) the chassis is designed to take the complete running gear and various engines from the Ford Cortina rage (MK II,III & IV) although various engines have been fitted including Rover 3.5 V8 , Ford Cologne V6 etc. A 4x4 version on a SS kit has been done using sierra parts and Chaz did a Sierra rear axle swap with inboard discs.

Word of warning!!
A marlin berlinetta was refused SVA because it uses a sub frame from the Cortina as well and as it was not designed for use in the marlin it was deemed unsafe. mounting points were different to the original ford design.
I suspect that the same would apply, this appeared to come from the paper work and not the local examiner by all accounts.

Oh well looks like the seller has ended the auction early typical Thanks for replies though but surely the Eagle SS / RV chassis does use the original mounting points and it designed to do so, the problem being the SVA, not heard of a SS or Nova passing it yet.
