Hi all. it'll be a while yet before I'm at this stage but thought i'd ask now for ideas. my ford based SS doesnt have a heater, doesnt look like its ever had one. once upon a time I remember it used to be an MOT requirement for a car to have a demister. not sure if thats still the case. I've read articles in the past where it was advised to use an old Mini heater setup as it was compact and quite easy to set up apparently. but there not exactly thick on the ground these days. does anyone have any ideas ? ta Brett

Same here - mini heater, but no demisters fitted - reckon there's enough fresh air in mine!
No problem with mot either.
Terry had a very novel solution on his when I last saw it! - Sure he ahd a photo of it somewhere!!!!!

.... and yet another question. not one for you Peter though ;D I see with the old mini set up the built in controls are only to turn it on or off and where the air get directed to ... to control the level of heat its a control valve attached to the engine controlled by a cable. how have you arranged to control the heat level ?

Re heat control, Rather basic. Heater is behind centre console out of sight. Have two switches, one to control slow fan, no. two switch to control the fan at higher speed. hot or cold is controlled inside engine bay and I judge if I will need hot or cold before I start off.
