If anyone requires details off the OTHER Eagle web site please EMAIL me..... I was going to offer them to the Club but since there has been a hostile take over SEE HEREI now won't be giving the details away. The original owner of said info gave me permission to do with the info as I please, when it was discussed at Stoneleigh show. For over Three years now we have tried to hold a A.G.M. at this show but every time we tried Helen and Chris were the only committee members to turn up and I was the only other person there. Terryrob did apologise for missing them. So this year We just chatted with the Old members of the club (Allcar Club) It is one of these members who ran the web site until he gave me the Disc containing all the web details a couple of years ago. I ran the web site at my own cost but unfortunately money got tight and so I had to pull the site. With no committee I could not ask for the club to start paying for it It didn't crash, it didn't have problems, it didn't have a virus, all these things have been said about it. But I know because I own the site and the info.... So if you are an Eagle owner and are interested in any particular info Email me and will look it out for you.

As far as i know, no one objected to merging the two sites and the information therein but it was not possible to incorporate ALL of it on the E.O.C. site due to space restrictions and there was reluctance to either see the E.O.C site disappear or loose its identity and it was left to see if this could be overcome. As no one came forward with a solution or the long term commitment to oversee this, it never happened. There is space for additional links from the nav section to additinal pages that can contain this information and I would be pleased to add such pages and links for the benifite of all, no need for a 'new' site. As far as work and commitment goes who do you think redesigned, hosted and maintained the current E.O.C. site, who is the owner of this board? Who has maintained his commitment to the club since 1995? Who took this club from less than nothing in 2004 to a functioning entity in 2006 before stepping down only to see the whole thing nearly collapse? Answers on a 20€ note please.

am I missing something ? the same three people have been on their own on the eagle site at stones for possibly four years, this year four 'ordinary club' members were on site -- we discused the agm issue and committee issue amongst ourselves as we seem to do every year.
If there are no committee members present - why not elect fresh ones, we all know Roy wants someone to take over from him, has anyone asked the others their plans?

As far as I understand the offices have been available since 2007 when the 2006 committee should have stood down but Roy, Helen and co had carried on due to lack of offers. I for one would love to hear from anyone able to do a good job for us and carry the club forward. There is a lot more to it than most people think though. I applaude the people who turn up at shows year after year and I only wish I could do so myself but to give you an idea, it cost me £450 to come over in 2006 and that was with Tim picking up the hotel and meals. This year I looked into it and with car hire etc it would have been over £600 for three days staying 'down the road' in Cheltenham at my daughter's and there is no way I can (or be expected to) afford that, at least not without serious domestic problems.

I understand your situation Peter - We don't know if Helen, Roy - Chris etc need help because A, we don't see them B, we don't hear anything from them. they are officers of a basically non existent no members 'club'
Start collecting subs - even a small fee so we can have an idea of how many are interested, How can we ask for club discounts when we don't have membership cards ?
the forum keeps us in touch to what is happening but how many forum members are eagle enthusiasts ( past and present) there are a lot of Eagles out there, stones showed up at least 6 near completion and there is always an Eagle to be found on E bay

That is the problem, no one knows anything. I am told there is no need for subs as there are sufficient funds to pay for the www.eagleownersclub.org.uk site hosting for many years and anyway as you alluded to, there isn't much we can offer for the money and as some 'shocked' people have found out, this is my board anyway, enjoy all. As far as club membership cards are concerned (I still have my #1 card from Bob), I would be happy to supply one nicely laminated to anyone who needs one, would like one or just give me work to do, likewise a certificate of membership is available for insurance discount purposes if required, just need to ask, as yet only one in 6 years has. I can't begin to tell you how much work by a team of people went into bringing the club up to its 2006 level but it was many evenings a week for months. I would LOVE to see a few people with the time and commitment bring things back again, it is possible, but one would need to write, text, phone and email every person who had, or would like or bought on eBay an Eagle of any type and persuade them to join or re-join. What I HATE is when someone criticises others and then if and when they get the ball they drop it and things are worse than before.

Don, you are talking B*LL**Ks every year Gary and Myself go to the Eagle stand and talk to Terry and Co. Why would you take money from people with no club to offer them. IF YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING THEN WE NEED TO GET THESE THINGS SORTED as I for one would not pay for what the Club has to offer at the moment and that not saying much as I am the one offering what there is left. I was happy helping the club out once but NOW? We do not have Our Eagle RV on the road so we do not stand around waiting for you to trailer yours in. We spoke to Terry and checked out his RV and also spoke to Eddie before he left "but we Aren't available are we". If people want us, Terry knows where we are and it's only just over the roadway.

WELL I think everyone knows how I feel about the club, Naff Said, JASON did send me a message sometime ago saying that he would like to take over as chairman, which i am more then happy to let him do, This used to be a really great little club, And I can't see why it can't be once again, BUT THEN IT IS UP TO YOU THAT CARE ABOUT IT, I still care but am too ill to even attend any shows now, Roy *Chuckles* Stafford
